The event focus, \u201cGet Real: Living as Courageous Disciples!\u201d combined the Conference theme with the main emphasis of the InsideOut curriculum used by many Church of the Brethren camps this year.<\/p>\n<p>At the \u201cHear My Voice\u201d station, for example, children wearing blindfolds maneuvered around obstacles by listening to a partner\u2019s instructions. \u201cThat was really hard!\u201d one participant commented, gaining a new understanding of the challenges faced by Steve Irwin, a courageous&#8211;and blind&#8211;Christian who hiked the Appalachian Trail.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8848\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8848\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8848\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/10\/children-enjoy-one-of-the.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/10\/children-enjoy-one-of-the.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/10\/children-enjoy-one-of-the-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8848\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><small>Photo by Keith Hollenberg<\/small><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Favorite activities for Samantha Farley from Fort Wayne, Ind., included \u201cFacing the Giants,\u201d a ball toss, and the Fiery Furnace Lanterns.<\/p>\n<p>Kamryn Huffaker from McCune, Kan., enjoyed Eric Landram\u2019s dramatic portrayal of the Apostle Paul in prison.
