If you are age 50 or older, plan on joining others from across the Church of the Brethren denomination at beautiful Lake Junaluska, N.C., on Sept. 2-6.<\/p>\n<p>Organized by Congregational Life Ministries of the Church of the Brethren, NOAC offers inspiration, renewal, and community for adults age 50 and older. Appalachian Tales and Music\u201d<br \/>\n&#8212; <strong>The humor of the NOAC News Team<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NOAC attendees will have the opportunity to participate in several service projects including assembling school and hygiene kits for Church World Service and \u201cTrekkin\u2019 for Peace,\u201d a walk around Lake Junaluska to raise money for the denomination\u2019s Youth Peace Travel Team.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, participants can select from a variety of interest groups, creative arts classes, and recreational activities including bus trips to the Biltmore mansion, Oconaluftee Indian Village, and Balsam Mountain Trust Preserve. \u201cTee Time!\u201d a golf outing, is hosted by Bethany Theological Seminary.<\/p>\n<p>Evening ice cream socials are sponsored by the Fellowship of Brethren Homes, Bethany Theological Seminary, and the Church of the Brethren-related colleges and universities.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s financial sponsors are Brethren Benefit Trust (BBT) sponsoring the Morning Bible Studies and NOAC News, The Palms of Sebring sponsoring the Tindall\u2019s performance, Peter Becker Community sponsoring \u201cHealing Through Music: The Magic of the Native American Flute,\u201d Pinecrest Community sponsoring \u201cBirds of Prey: Masters of the Sky,\u201d and Hillcrest sponsoring \u201cHillbilly Is Not Politically Correct!
