This\u00a0photo essay by Cat Gong\u00a0<\/strong>shows\u00a0a Martin Luther King Day food collection hosted at the warehouse at the Church of the Brethren General Offices in Elgin, Ill.<\/p>\n

Youth from across the city of Elgin came together in the spirit of service on\u00a0the morning of Jan. 21 to sort and distribute\u00a0the\u00a0estimated 4 tons of food that was donated by churches and other organizations. The food went to\u00a0a number of local food pantries in the Elgin area.<\/p>\n

This was the second annual Martin Luther King Day food collection hosted by the church\u2019s general offices.<\/p>\n
