After this proposed polity change was printed in the Conference booklet, however, the Leadership Team realized that it would also involve a change to the Church of the Brethren bylaws, and amendments to the bylaws can only be proposed by the Mission and Ministry Board or by a congregation through the query process.<\/p>\n<p>The Leadership Team will therefore ask the Mission and Ministry Board at the October 2018 meeting to consider amending the bylaws regarding delegate representation.
