{"id":26945,"date":"2026-04-16T21:51:33","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T21:51:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/news\/?p=26945"},"modified":"2026-04-16T21:51:41","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T21:51:41","slug":"song-and-story-fest-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/news\/2026\/song-and-story-fest-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Song and Story Fest 2026 takes place at Inspiration Hills in Ohio"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration for Song and Story Fest 2026, the 30th annual intergenerational camp to be held under that name, is now open&#8211;with a deadline of June 1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The event is planned for July 5-11 at Inspiration Hills, a Church of the Brethren camp and outdoor ministry center in Burbank, Ohio.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is the thirtieth summer in a row for these Song and Story Fests and our fourth visit to Inspiration Hills, the Church of the Brethren camp for northern Ohio,\u201d said an announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s event, \u201cOhio Valley Song and Story Fest,\u201d is focused on the theme, \u201cCan We See a New World Coming?\u201d Inspiration for the theme comes from a hymn by Steve Engle titled \u201cBeyond a Dying Sun.\u201d Engle\u2019s lyrics include the vision of \u201ca new world coming when everyone is free! And all shall be God\u2019s people in justice, love and peace!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Earth Peace, which co-sponsors the event, is providing detailed information and a brochure, a registration form, and a poster with all the leaders\u2019 names on the event website. The Song and Story Fest planning committee includes Ken Kline Smeltzer, Rhonda Baker, Hannah Button-Harrison, Chris Good, Rachel Long, Clara McGilly, Carolyn Neher, Mikah Overman, and Tina Rieman.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
