Creation Justice Ministries is seeking congregational partners. Creation Justice Ministries is a partner organization of the Church of the Brethren Office of Peacebuilding and Policy.

Partner congregations are sought in the areas of Austin, Texas; Baltimore, Md.; Durham, N.C.; and Norfolk/Hampton Roads, Va. Congregations will participate in tree equity projects that address urban heat, improve air quality, and build climate resilience in neighborhoods that need it most. The project is prioritizing planting trees in neighborhoods with low access to the climate, health, and well-being benefits that trees provide.

Churches will receive trees to plant in their communities, along with technical guidance on planting and care from expert partners. The project provides comprehensive support including theological reflection materials that connect tree planting to scripture and faith traditions, educational curricula for congregational learning, and worship resources to help your community understand tree equity as a spiritual practice.

Interested in learning more?
