This information was updated on Sept. 19. The team continues to urge congregations to take up special offerings and fundraise within their communities to support the Legal and Mutual Aid Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have 39 Church of the Brethren congregations that are impacted by various concerns around immigration. Within 4 districts, 8 congregations have been affected by detention and deportation. There have been 15 total congregants detained. Among them, 10 have been deported and 2 have been released. Some of the families of those detained or deported are homeless and in need of legal and financial support. (See the detailed tallies below.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We urge congregations to donate to the Legal and Mutual Aid Fund so we can continue to support members of congregations who are in need of legal assistance as well as offer financial support for their families in need.
