{"id":24516,"date":"2024-10-17T21:14:47","date_gmt":"2024-10-17T21:14:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/news\/?p=24516"},"modified":"2025-03-07T22:02:47","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T22:02:47","slug":"bvs-seeks-youth-ministry-applicants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/news\/2024\/bvs-seeks-youth-ministry-applicants\/","title":{"rendered":"Brethren Volunteer Service seeks applicants for youth ministry placements"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>By Marissa Witkovsky-Eldred<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Church of the Brethren has ministries that seek to support youth and provide space for them to experience spiritual growth, become advocates for peace and justice, be in community with one another, and serve as the hands and feet of Jesus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two of these ministries&#8211;FaithX and Youth and Young Adult Ministries&#8211;seek individuals who are interested in volunteering with youth and young adult programing for a year through Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Youth and Young Adult Ministries seeks a volunteer to begin in fall 2025 for a year of service as the National Youth Conference (NYC) coordinator. <\/strong>This individual will help to organize and conduct the 2026 NYC in collaboration with the Youth Cabinet. Applications are due by Oct. 31, 2024. Apply through the NYC coordinator application at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brethren.org\/yya\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"www.brethren.org\/yya\">www.brethren.org\/yya<\/a>.
