Unit 336 of Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS) recently completed orientation and the volunteers have begun work at project sites across the United States and in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following are their names, congregations or hometowns, and project placements.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

June Scheidemann<\/strong>, from Bielefeld, Germany, will serve at La Puente Home, Alamosa, Colo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ace Anteby,<\/strong> from Brooklyn, N.Y., will serve at SnowCap Food Pantry, Portland, Ore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lisa Abele, <\/strong>from Hamburg, Germany, will serve at the San Diego (Calif.) Peace Campus, which is related to San Diego First Church of the Brethren<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pierre Schatz,<\/strong> from Strasbourg, France, will serve at La Puente Home, Alamosa, Colo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keke Phooko,<\/strong> from Mohale’s Hoek, Lesotho, will serve with Brethren Disaster Ministries in Kentucky<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lorena Nordmann,<\/strong> from Nordenham, Niedersachsen, Germany, will serve at Abode Services, Fremont, Calif.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Alyson Heckeroth,<\/strong> of Messiah Church of the Brethren in Kansas City, Mo., will serve at Highland Park Elementary School, Roanoke, Va.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justine Eckert,<\/strong> of Harrisburg (Pa.) First Church of the Brethren, will serve at Camp Mardela, Denton, Md.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brad and Sue Cox, <\/strong>of Lynchburg (Va.) Church of the Brethren, will serve at the World Friendship Center, Hiroshima, Japan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elizabeth Long, <\/strong>of Eel River Church of the Brethren in Silver Lake, Ind., placement TBD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magdalena M\u00fcller,<\/strong> from Schleiz, Thuringia, Germany, will serve at WATER in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wed Naji,<\/strong> from Bonn, Germany, will serve at WATER in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
