The Summer 2024 unit of Brethren Volunteer Service (BVS), Unit 335, has completed orientation and has been assigned to project sites across the United States and in Northern Ireland. The unit\u2019s orientation took place July 28 to Aug. 5 at Camp Colorado in Sedalia, Colo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The volunteers, their congregations or home locations, and project sites are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next BVS unit will hold orientation on Sept. 17-25 at Camp Brethren Heights in Rodney, Mich. Apply to join the Fall unit, or find out more about volunteering with BVS at www.brethren.org\/bvs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The volunteers in BVS Unit 335 include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calvin Brown<\/strong> of Manchester Church of the Brethren in North Manchester, Ind., is serving at the Corrymeela Community in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauren Hazel <\/strong>of Brownsburg, Ind., is going to Greenhill YMCA in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katelyn Hoffmann<\/strong> of Pfullendorf, Germany, is working at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Arkansas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jan and Tom Hurst<\/strong> of McPherson (Kan.) Church of the Brethren are at the Corrymeela Community in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel Johnson<\/strong> of Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren in Quarryville, Pa., is working with FaithX in the Brethren Volunteer Service office at the Church of the Brethren General Offices in Elgin, Ill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isabel Kruse<\/strong> of Huntingdon, Pa., is working with the Greenhill YMCA in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Svea Lembcke<\/strong> of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, has gone to Camp Stevens in California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melika Rassoli<\/strong> of Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, Germany, is currently at L’Arche Syracuse in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kate Ruebke<\/strong> of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren in Weyers Cave, Va., is volunteering at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Arkansas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henry Schenk<\/strong> of Bavaria, Germany, is working for Abode Services in California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carla Sornig<\/strong> of North Rhine Westphalia, Germany, also is working at Abode Services in California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
