The location has now been finalized for the short-term schedule of volunteers set for Project 2 this September through November. These groups of volunteers and leaders will return to continue serving the Dawson Springs, Ky., 2021 tornado recovery.

Housing will resume at the Habitat for Humanity Pennyrile Region Warehouse where we have been staying, and the goal will be to complete the homes we have started but cannot complete by the middle of August, when the full project closes. We have had wonderful partnerships on the Dawson Springs project and are excited to return and continue to help them with another eight to ten weeks of volunteers.

There are still weeks open for volunteers who would like to serve in Dawson Springs one last time before the site is closed for good. If you can serve during the weeks of Sept. 15-21 or Nov. 17-23, please contact Kim Gingerich at kgingerich@brethren.org or 410-635-8730 to get on the schedule.

Brethren Disaster Ministries volunteers at work in Kentucky.
