— The Silent Auction<\/strong> benefiting Annual Conference translation and interpretation expenses and general operating budget raised $10,375.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some 200 people participated in Saturday\u2019s gun violence vigil<\/strong> in downtown Grand Rapids sponsored by the church\u2019s Gun Violence Prevention Action Team and On Earth Peace. The event received local media coverage from ABC TV Channel 13 WZZM. The Annual Conference onsite blood drive,<\/strong> carried out with staff of Versiti, collected a total of 121 units of blood over 2 days: 75 whole blood units and 23 double red units for a total of 46 units on Thursday; 35 whole blood and 7 double red units for a total of 49 units on Friday.
