{"id":24003,"date":"2024-07-07T01:33:14","date_gmt":"2024-07-07T01:33:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/news\/?p=24003"},"modified":"2024-07-07T01:33:47","modified_gmt":"2024-07-07T01:33:47","slug":"pastoral-compensation-and-benefits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/news\/2024\/pastoral-compensation-and-benefits\/","title":{"rendered":"Delegates approve recommendations from Pastoral Compensation and Benefits Advisory Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The Annual Conference approved two recommendations brought by the Pastoral Compensation and Benefits Advisory Committee today, Saturday, July 6: revisions to the pastor\u2019s Housing Equity Fund, and the annual cost of living adjustment to the minimum cash salary table for pastors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A 3.3 percent cost of living adjustment<\/strong> was made to the minimum cash salary table for pastors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The revisions to the Housing Equity Fund,<\/strong> which was created in 1975 as a savings fund to enable pastors living in parsonages to purchase their own homes after leaving the parsonage, shifts it from a mutual fund account to a qualified church retirement plan managed by Eder Financial.
