This is an \u201casynchronous online\u201d course taking place from July 31 through Sept. 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hornbacker is professor emerita of Ministry Formation, Missional Leadership, and Evangelism at Bethany Theological Seminary in Richmond, Ind. She is an ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren and began teaching at Bethany in 1998. Participants will explore the necessary tasks for successful interim\/transitional ministry and the personality characteristics most helpful to develop for the practice of this specialized area of congregational leadership. Participants will examine the unique calling of people to walk with congregations in both simple interim and longterm intentional ministry situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This course is open to students in the Training in Ministry (TRIM) and Education for Shared Ministry (EFSM) programs of the academy; people needing continuing education credits (the course offers 2.0 continuing education units); and those who want to take the course for personal enrichment.
