She begins working for the GFI as a remote employee from Washington, D.C., on April 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An ordained minister, Hosler is part of the pastoral team at Washington (D.C.) City Church of the Brethren. She has served on the GFI advisory board and is a current trustee for Bethany Theological Seminary. Her previous work on the denominational staff of the Church of the Brethren included several years as a mission worker in Nigeria, and service as a consultant for the project \u201cStories from the Cities.\u201d She served on the Annual Conference study committee that wrote the \u201cVision of Ecumenism for the 21st Century\u201d paper adopted by the Conference in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She holds a doctorate in Human Services Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), a master\u2019s degree from Penn State University, and an undergraduate degree from Moody Bible Institute. Her work and consulting on community development projects has included a program in Haiti for the UMBC.
