Rudy<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Part-Time Pastor; Full-Time Church program of the Church of the Brethren\u2019s Office of Ministry is planning events for the next few months. Multi-vocational pastors are invited to a study of the book <em>Flourishing in Ministry<\/em> by Matt Bloom. Multi-vocational clergywomen are particularly invited to join Erin Matteson for \u201cSoul Sisters\u2026Connecting and Deepening Together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John Fillmore, one of the \u201ccircuit riders\u201d for the program, will lead the book study of <strong>Matt Bloom\u2019s <em>Flourishing in Ministry: How to Cultivate Clergy Well-Being<\/em><\/strong>. It\u2019s no surprise to pastors, but ministry can be challenging. Ministry work is complex, continuous, and diverse and the demands pastors feel can be overwhelming. Yet we also know that pastors who are spiritually, emotionally, and physically healthy are better able to serve their congregations. Multi-vocational pastors are invited to this 10-week book discussion as we dig a little deeper into the things that contribute to pastoral wellbeing. Sessions will begin Jan. 16 and will be held on Tuesday evenings beginning at 7 p.m. (Eastern time). Registration is limited, so sign up soon. Books will be provided by the program, and continuing education credit will be available. This monthly gathering will facilitate various spiritual practices like lectio divina and visio divina. The online gatherings will be held on the second Monday of each month, from February through June, offering the opportunity to form sacred circles with others in hopes of nourishing spiritual wellbeing.
