We are eager to include a wide range of experiences and perspectives from Anabaptist communities worldwide. In particular, we encourage submissions from areas outside of the Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ontario regions to ensure a truly global representation. We invite individuals, congregations, organizations, and communities to submit their story ideas to be considered for inclusion in the book. Peace Church of the Brethren, features hospice and Barbara West, the granddaughter of Dan West who has 27 years of experience serving the terminally ill. West has served as a hospice nurse in California and Oregon and shares her experiences as well as some of the stories of those she has served. Brent Carlson hosts this program, #217 of \u201cBrethren Voices.\u201d This program serves as part 1, of a 2-part mini-series with Barbara West, \u201cOptimizing the Quality of Life for the Terminally Ill.\u201d Find Brethren Voices on YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8212; The National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA (NCC)<\/strong> is announcing an upcoming event to be held in Washington, D.C., on the 60th anniversary of the 1963 civil rights March on Washington. Titled <strong>\u201cMarch on Washington&#8211;Not a Commemoration, a Continuation!\u201d<\/strong> will feature leadership from Al Sharpton, founder and president of National Action Network; Arndrea Waters King, president of the Drum Major Institute; and Martin Luther King, III, chair of the Drum Major Institute. The event will be held on Aug. 26. The article characterizes Krabacher\u2019s community involvement as \u201ca multi-faceted, decades-long commitment to growth\u201d and notes that he \u201cwas active on city council for many years and even spent a few as vice mayor. A former area business owner, he is a long-standing member of New Carlisle Church of the Brethren at 2019 North Main St. Krabacher also works with Brethren Disaster Ministries to help rebuilds homes torn down by storms and tornadoes.\u201d Krabacher also was one of the American Brethren who took part in a March delegation to Nigeria in celebration of the 100th anniversary of EYN.
