\u00a0An early morning 5K run started the\u00a0NYC day at\u00a06\u00a0a.m. on Monday.\u00a0Devotions and the morning\u00a0worship service followed, with\u00a0messages given by\u00a0youth\u00a0speech contest winners Kelsey Boardman, Renee Neher, and Arbie Karasek.\u00a0Small groups met after worship, and\u00a0workshops were held in the afternoon along with recreation options. Hiking groups went to Rocky Mountain National Park and some 700 youth took part in service projects in and around the cities of Fort Collins and Loveland. Evening worship featured\u00a0Shane Claiborne, a Christian peace and justice activist\u00a0and a founding partner of The Simple Way, a faith community in inner city\u00a0Philadelphia. Late-evening activities included a concert by\u00a0Christian musician Ken Medema.<\/em><\/p>\n
