One of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) kidnapped while traveling from an IDP camp in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria, has miraculously returned home, while his brother is still missing. According to a camp official, the two brothers–Ishaya Daniel and Titus Daniel, aged 20 and 22–were kidnapped from a commercial bus when they were stopped by Boko Haram terrorists along Burutai Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey stopped us and brought us out of the bus, they asked us if we are Christians. I and my younger brother were the only Christians in the bus,\u201d said the older brother. \u201cThey took us on a motorcycle towards Sambisa Forest. On our way to their destination, they stopped for Sallah (prayer). I asked my younger brother that we should escape\u2026. So we both agreed to escape. One of them who was watching over us was also trying to bring another bucket. As he went to pick the other bucket while others were praying, we started running and he opening fire. Then we split into different directions,\u201d he said. \u201cUp till now we don\u2019t know where he is.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another sad story, the leadership of Ekklesiyar Yan\u2019uwa a Nigeria (EYN, the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria) has asked its members to pray for one church member who has been kidnapped from the Chibok community. The EYN District Church Council (DCC) officials shared that the member and former councilor representing Worujambe Ward in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, John Yanga, aged 56, was also kidnapped at 2:16 a.m. local time on March 12 at his house at Tsadla, a congregation in the Balgi church district. \u201cThey took him away, up to now no communication is established,\u201d they reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us continue praying for their safe return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
