Fort Collins, Colo.\u00a0— July 17-22, 2010<\/h4>\n

Today the Church of the Brethren National Youth Conference opened on the campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Registration started at 10 a.m. on the outdoor concourse of Moby Arena, and continued through the day as district buses and vans, cars, and airport shuttles arrived with NYCers. A picnic was held for the 3,000 or so youth and adult advisors. Worship will gather the full conference in Moby Arena to sing, pray, receive a scripture-based message for the day, and commit together to become a community of Christ in this place for this week. The evening speaker is Angie Lahman Yoder, minister of worship at Circle of Peace Church of the Brethren in Peoria, Ariz. Late-evening activities include a reception for the international participants and scholarship recipients.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
