The theme, \u201cI\u2019m not done with you,\u201d uses Jeremiah 18:1-6 as a focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThe LORD gave another message to Jeremiah. He said, \u2018Go down to the potter\u2019s shop, and I will speak to you there.\u2019 So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. Then the LORD gave me this message: \u2018O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter\u2019s hand, so are you in my hand\u2019\u201d (Jeremiah 18:1-6, New Living Translation).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In selecting this text and theme, the Young Adult Steering Committee affirms that not only does God shape us, but God also redeems our brokenness. <em>Kintsugi<\/em> (kin-soo-gee), is the Japanese artform of repairing broken pottery by using a mixture of gold and silver to mend the broken pieces back together. While some would consider broken shards of pottery \u201ctrash,\u201d God\u2019s mending ways remind us that wholensss and perfection are not synonymous. God is not done with us; God will not leave us in our brokenness!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the weekend, there will time for worship, small groups, workshops, and recreation&#8211;as well as a lot of good conversation and fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration is open at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brethren.org\/yac\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"www.brethren.org\/yac\">www.brethren.org\/yac<\/a>; register ASAP!
