The Church of the Brethren Ministers\u2019 Association is hosting a virtual pre-Annual Conference event on June 29, 6-9 p.m., and June 30, 10:30 a.m.-12 noon and 1-4 p.m. (Eastern time). The event will consist of presentations by New Testament scholar Michael J. Gorman followed by interactive question-and-answer sessions with attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gorman is the Raymond E. Brown Professor of Biblical Studies and Theology at St. Mary\u2019s Seminary and University in Baltimore, Md., who specializes in the letters, theology, and spirituality of the apostle Paul. At this event, he will present on the church in 1 Corinthians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The committee hopes participants will read one or both of the following books prior to the event: Reading Paul<\/em> (available through Brethren Press at www.brethrenpress.com\/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=9781556351952<\/a>) or Participating in Christ: Explorations in Paul’s Theology and Spirituality<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ministers may earn continuing education credit, for those who sign up for the event. Attendance is priced at $50 and signing up provides a link to the live sessions as well as access to the recorded sessions after the event. Translation is also available if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
