Drew G. I. Hart, a member of Harrisburg (Pa.) First Church of the Brethren, will be speaking as part of the upcoming \u201cHealing Racism Congregations and Communities Series\u201d that launches this February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hart is assistant professor of theology at Messiah University and has 10 years of pastoral experience. He is director of the university\u2019s Thriving Together: Congregations for Racial Justice program and co-host of Inverse Podcast. He is the author of <em>Trouble I&#8217;ve Seen: Changing the Way the Church Views Racism<\/em> (2016) and <em>Who Will Be a Witness?: Igniting Activism for God&#8217;s Justice, Love, and Deliverance<\/em> (2020). He was the recipient of bcmPEACE\u2019s 2017 Peacemaker Award, the 2019 W. E. B. Du Bois Award in Harrisburg, Pa., and was Elizabethtown (Pa.) College\u2019s 2019 Peace Fellow. A recording also will be available after the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday, Feb. 18, from 4:30-6 p.m. (Eastern time), the ministry is inviting participation in an online <strong>#ConversationsTogether<\/strong> with Hart. \u201cJoin us for a time of conversation, Q&amp;A, and dialogue about how we can be faithful witnesses toward healing racism in our communities and times,\u201d said the announcement.
