Leading the event will be\u00a0 Grace Ji-Sun Kim, professor of theology at Earlham School of Religion, and Denise Kettering-Lane, associate professor of Brethren Studies at Bethany Theological Seminary. Both schools are located in Richmond, Ind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kim and Kettering-Lane will explore the Holy Spirit\u2019s significance within various Christian traditions including the Church of the Brethren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Spirit presents itself to many as an enigma,\u201d said an announcement. \u201cIts existence is mysterious and complex, generating misunderstandings and unawareness of its true purpose. The Spirit\u2019s ambiguous nature opens the opportunity for study to unearth the exciting truths that it holds. The Spirit is present in our world in various forms and invites us to work for climate justice, racial justice, and gender justice. It stirs us to work toward new kinships with God that are sustainable, just, and whole.
