Maiduguri is the largest city in the far northeast of Nigeria, and the location of EYN\u2019s largest congregation at EYN Maiduguri #1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the internally displaced people, about 95 percent were displaced from the Gwoza area abandoned to Boko Haram. They received food and non-food items that included rice, maize, soap, detergent, cooking oil, salt, Maggi cubes, dignity kits, and men\u2019s inner wears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among other challenges recorded during the intervention were an increase in the number of vulnerable persons, some from the Minawao refugee camps in Cameroon and some from within Nigeria, and a rise in birth rates. Many from the host communities and other unidentified IDP camps demanded registration and profiling in the camps.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&#8212;&nbsp;<em>Zakariya Musa serves on the communications staff of Ekklesiyar Yan\u2019uwa a Nigeria.
