Antietam is the second Civil War battlefield that I’ve visited, the other is Gettysburg. Both times, I have found it both peaceful and disquieting how naturally stunning the locations are.
The 2024 Young Adult Conference will take place on May 24-26 at Camp Shepherds Spring near Sharpsburg, Md., on the theme, “Transformed by God” (Romans 12:-1-2, The Message).
This past October, the Young Adult Steering Committee met at the Church of the Brethren General Offices in Elgin, Ill., to begin planning for Young Adult Conference 2024, which will be held May 24-26 at Camp Shepherds Spring in Sharpsburg, Md.
Recently, I was even more excited than normal to come to Camp Mack because I was looking forward to spending time in community, learning and growing as part of Young Adult Conference. This is my second year as part of the Young Adult Steering Committee, and I love to see our plans change and become reality as the weekend unfolds.
Young Adult Conference (YAC) 2023 will welcome younger adults to Camp Alexander Mack in Milford, Ind., on May 5-7, to consider the ways God continues to shape and reshape their lives. The theme, “I’m not done with you,” uses Jeremiah 18:1-6 as a focus.
Upcoming Youth and Young Adult Ministries programs and events include National Junior High Sunday on Nov. 6, 2022; Christian Citizenship Seminar on April 22-27, 2023; National Youth Sunday on May 7, 2023; Young Adult Conference on May 5-7, 2023; and National Junior High Conference on June 16-18, 2023.
