The Standing Committee of district delegates to Annual Conference will hold a Listening Session with Bridgewater (Va.) Church of the Brethren in Greensboro, N.C., on Tuesday, July 1, at 7 p.m.
Shenandoah District calls Kevin Daggett and Rebecca House as co-district executive ministers
The Church of the Brethren’s Shenandoah District has called Kevin Daggett and Rebecca House to serve as co-district executive ministers beginning Sept. 15. Each will serve a one-half time position carrying out varied responsibilities as determined through their partnership with the district’s Leadership Team.
Shenandoah District calls interim district executive team
The Church of the Brethren’s Shenandoah District has called a team of people to serve in the capacity of Interim District Executive Minister beginning on April 1. Paul Roth, Jan Orndorff, and Steve Spire will serve as the core interim team with Wayne Pence and Glenn Bollinger assisting as consultants.
Shenandoah District supports Burundi sewing project
The goal of the 2023 Shenandoah District Conference was to raise $4,000 to purchase sewing machines for use in Burundi.
Brethren Disaster Ministries director makes visit to area affected by Hurricane Helene
The director of Brethren Disaster Ministries, Jenn Dorsch-Messler, traveled through Virginia and North Carolina the week of Oct. 21 to visit with Church of the Brethren district and church leaders. The trip responded to the impact of Hurricane Helen in both states.
John Jantzi to conclude his leadership of Shenandoah District in early 2025
John Jantzi has announced that he will conclude his service as district executive minister for the Church of the Brethren’s Shenandoah District, as of March 1, 2025. He has served in the position for almost 12 years, since Aug. 1, 2012. During these years, he has given leadership to district ministries during a season of significant change while faithfully guiding district staff and leaders in their work.
Disaster ministry volunteers at Staunton partner with Renewing Homes in Greater Augusta
Last Christmas, Frank Allman was looking for ways to be of help to others during his retirement when the Witness Commission put out an invitation to a presentation about renewing homes for people who are disabled, semi-disabled, or elderly.

Madtown Church of the Brethren, East Dayton Fellowship, and Gordonsville Chapel were recognized as new projects, fellowships, and congregations respectively, during the July 5 business session at Annual Conference 2023.
