A complimentary set of Bible activity cards has just been shipped to congregations that use the Shine: Living in God’s Light curriculum. The “Follow the Peace Path” cards are a signature part of a new initiative of Brethren Press and MennoMedia, which co-publish Shine.
A grant of $1,250,000 from Lilly Endowment Inc. will support the development of Shine: Living in God’s Light. MennoMedia received the grant on behalf of Shine, a joint publication of MennoMedia and Brethren Press. The grant is part of Lilly Endowment’s Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative, which aims to help parents and caregivers share their faith and values with their children.
“You told us that you’d like a choice, so we’re offering both print and digital teaching resources this fall,” said an announcement from Brethren Press and the Shine curriculum produced jointly with MennoMedia.
Brethren Press is highlighting a round dozen resources for use by individuals and churches in this fourth quarter of 2020. On the list are new resources published by Brethren Press for education and enjoyment of young and old. Also recommended are new books by Brethren authors, from other publishers but available to purchase through Brethren Press.
Brethren Press is offering a variety of new resources that combine fun and learning about Brethren history, heritage, theology, and the Bible. The mix of new Brethren Press products includes a jigsaw puzzle of the Eder River, a new Forerunners card game, and new digital resources from Shine, the Sunday school curriculum jointly published with
