Book study will focus on ‘The Rural Church in God’s Country’

“The Rural Church in God’s Country” is the topic for an online book study hosted by the Part-Time Pastor, Full-Time Church program of the Church of the Brethren’s Ministry Office. Pastor Brad Roth, in his book God’s Country: Faith, Hope, and the Future of the Rural Church, and Allen Stanton, author of Reclaiming Rural: Building Thriving Rural Congregations, champion rural ministry and the dedicated leaders who make it possible.

Webinar will feature panel discussion with author Callie Swanlund

Part-time Pastor; Full-Time Church will hold a webinar on June 12 at 7:30 p.m. (Eastern time) as a panel discussion with author Callie Swanlund, program manager Richard Wehrle, and the program’s circuit riders. Together they will discuss the topic of clergy burnout, which is the focus of Swanlund’s new book From Weary to Wholehearted: A Restorative Resource for Overcoming Clergy Burnout.

Stuart Murray Williams and colleagues to lead webinar centered on new book

The Church of the Brethren’s Discipleship and Leadership Formation department is sponsoring a webinar to be held Feb. 8 with Stuart Murray Williams and colleagues Alexandra Ellish, Judith Kilpin, and Karen Sethuraman centered around the forthcoming book The New Anabaptists: Practices for Emerging Communities. The book is to be released in late January.
