Brethren Ministers’ Association issues invitation to pre-Annual Conference event

By Jody Gunn

On July 3-4, all ministers of the Church of the Brethren denomination will have an opportunity to reconnect with one another at the annual pre-Annual Conference continuing education event. Some ministers haven’t seen each other in person since before COVID.

The Brethren Ministers’ Association in partnership with the Part-Time Pastor; Full Time Church program has arranged for a free Meet and Greet Dinner together before we gather for our first session on July 3 with Sheila Wise Rowe.

What a unique moment in our life together in the Church of the Brethren to be in small groups at this conference, during three sessions to discuss the very relevant topic of racism and trauma. For ministers to hear from a woman who has worked hard to help bring healing from racial trauma to people in the US, France, and South Africa, is an opportunity we hope all will make an effort to attend either in person or online.

Please pray… For the Brethren Ministers’ Association event, for the organizing committee, for presenter Sheila Wise Rowe, and for all the ministers who attend.

We hope, similar to the expectation of your Minister’s Association committee members, you will join us in being excited about the prospect of greater appreciation and understanding as we learn and grow from Sheila’s time with us!
