Sandy Schild has announced her retirement from Brethren Benefit Trust (BBT) as of June 1. She has been BBT’s Finance Project manager and Operations Support. She began as director of Financial Operations on Dec. 14, 2009.

Late in 2010, she took on additional duties as interim treasurer during a period of transition in the Chief Financial Officer position. Late in 2013, a succession plan was put into place and she took up her current role. Her title changed in September 2016, which allowed for a smoother transition of director duties within the finance department.

She served at BBT through staffing changes, a transition to new accounting software, implementation of a new pension record keeper, computer programming changes, banking/custodial and investment changes, and clean audits each year. She also participated in reporting to the Budget and Audit Review Committee meetings of the BBT board and provided several educational sessions during board meetings.
