On Earth Peace Holds Special Observance of the International Day of Peace

The On Earth Peace board and staff invite those in the area of New Windsor, Md., to join in a special observance of the International Day of Peace on Thursday, Sept 21.

On Earth Peace will place hundreds of “pinwheels for peace” on the lawn at the Brethren Service Center in New Windsor at midnight today, Sept 20. The pinwheels will remain on the lawn for 24 hours. Near sunset on Sept 21, the On Earth Peace board and staff and others will join for a moment of silence representing one minute for each country around the world in armed conflict. There also will be readings from “The Peace Poem,” reflections gathered from children around the world.
