Curryville Church of the Brethren held a service May 1, 2022 to bless tractors and farmers.
The service began with the video “God Made a Farmer.”
Pastor Chris Heinlein spoke on “Keepers of Creation,” emphasizing the need to care for the beautiful world the Lord has given us.
According to the Morrison Cove Herald, those participating in the blessing and prayer after the service included: Gene Sollenberger on a 7610 John Deere; Brad Sollenberger on a 6410 John Deere owned by Wayne Burket, who drove a 6310 John Deere; Don Brumbaugh on his orange Allis Chambers D; Mike and Chrystal Disney on a 7800 John Deere; Dennis Brumbaugh on a 4052M John Deere, and Wes Sollenberger and Son Colten with a red Super M Farmall.
The tractors circled the church, and the pastor stood on each one and said a prayer.
