Andrawus Godzama and assisted by the Rev. Yohanna Apagu, pastor of No. 1 Jalingo, and the Rev. Moses Thilza (who heads up a local NGO). \u00a0There were five groups that provided inspiring and uplifting music throughout the service(the Sisters, the Men, the Youth, a Gospel Band, and the Choir).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4490\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4490\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/blog\/?attachment_id=4490\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4490\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4490\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/new-church-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Gospel Band\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4490\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gospel Band<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4489\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4489\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/blog\/?attachment_id=4489\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4489\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4489\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/new-church-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"ZME - Women's Choir\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4489\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ZME &#8211; Women&#8217;s Choir<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Scripture Lessons were from Matthew 16:13-20 and Colossians 1:9-18. \u00a0The Rev. Dr.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4491\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4491\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/blog\/?attachment_id=4491\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4491\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4491\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/new-church-3-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Jim giving the message\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4491\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jim giving the message<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>James Mitchell became the General Secretary for the day and preached on the message of \u201cThe Church\u2019s True Foundation is Jesus Christ.\u201d \u00a0The Rev. Dr. Samual Dali, President of EYN, introduced and<\/p>\n<p>shared about his ministry in Nigeria. Since the service was in Hausa, the Rev. Moses Thilza translated the message.<br \/>\nThen President Samual Dali officiated The Service for Opening of a New Church with special acknowledgements of the pastor, the LCC, and then all of the members of EYN LCC no. 5 Jalingo who all came up to receive his official greeting. \u00a0The Rev. Dr. James Mitchell then offered a prayer of blessing upon the pastor, the LCC, and members. \u00a0The official Certificate and other papers were then presented to Pastor Joshua Tada and the LCC. \u00a0There was an upsurge of \u201cHallelujahs\u201d when all was said and done. \u00a0Zakariya Amos, the Assistant Secretary of EYN, then welcomed the new church, the LCC, and the pastor officially to the family of EYN and expressed gratitude as to Rev. Godzama as to how well the service was organized and flowed and how God was continually glorified in his words and prayers. \u00a0There was a special offering for EYN LCC No. 5 Jalingo and President Dali closed the service with an encouraging and triumphant benediction. \u00a0The service was three and half hours long.<\/p>\n<p>Following the service, there was a fellowship meal that was enjoyed by all. \u00a0God blessed us with a beautiful weather, a wonderful location, and a joyous and glorious day of celebration in the life and coming of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.<strong>\u00a0<em>Even though the EYN Church has been severely injured and deeply wounded, new life is happening and we give God all the praise and glory for the grace that is making all things possible.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Even though the EYN Church has been severely injured and deeply wounded, new life is happening and we give God all the praise and glory for the grace that is making all things possible.
