To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul.\u201d \u2013Alfred Austin<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Through the spring <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brethren.org\/goingtothegarden\">Going to the Garden<\/a> webinar series, we have explored <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MvuZvXnXcZY\">how to start community gardens<\/a> and how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oVFwLbqZpjM\">environmental degradation<\/a> affects conflicts. Join us for this final webinar of the series as we discuss the hidden benefits of community gardens including spiritual wellness, relationship building, and trauma healing.<\/p>\n<p>Gardening is about more than plants and the hopeful harvest of fruits and vegetables that they promise. Gardens provide a space to bring people from all walks of life together, while also facilitating emotional healing and spiritual growth.<\/p>\n<p>Interested participants will be eligible to receive 0.1 Continuing Education Units. She has grown food in Baltimore, D.C., and North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-4170 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/blogtest\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/39\/2015\/06\/tom_pic2.jpg\" alt=\"tom_pic2\" width=\"110\" height=\"155\" \/>Tom Benevento<\/strong>\u00a0gives leadership to New Community Project\u2019s Undoing Global Warming campaign based out of their Spring Village Ecology Center in Harrisonburg VA.
