{"id":11,"date":"2018-11-28T23:41:17","date_gmt":"2018-11-28T23:41:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/new.brethren.org\/bdm\/mission\/"},"modified":"2022-08-12T20:53:03","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T20:53:03","slug":"mission","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/bdm\/mission\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/bdm\/contactus\/\" class=\"btn btn-lg btn-warning\">Contact us<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Mission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspired by Jesus, Brethren Disaster Ministries focuses on rebuilding homes, caring for children, and providing international relief by engaging our volunteers, supporters, and partners to serve communities recovering from disaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Brethren Disaster Ministries engages a network of volunteers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/bdm\/rebuild\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">repair or rebuild damaged homes<\/a> for disaster survivors who lack sufficient resources to hire a contractor or other paid labor.&nbsp; BDM\u2019s goal is to ease the trauma and foster recovery in disaster-stricken communities across the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brethren.org\/cds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Children\u2019s Disaster Services<\/a> meets the needs of children impacted by disaster by setting up temporary child care centers and using therapeutic activities and toys that stimulate imaginative play.
