Program and Arrangements Committee holds a brief reorganization meeting toward the end of Conference each year, a three day in-person meeting in August, a series of virtual meetings in November, and at least one virtual meeting in the spring. Typically, members follow a set rotation to provide oversight of specific Annual Conference activities:<\/p>\n\n\n For each member-at-large vacancy the Nominating Committee of Standing Committee obtains nominations and presents two to four qualified nominees to Standing Committee, which votes to reduce the ballot to two nominees to present to Conference. The 1979 Annual Conference instructed the Nominating Committee of Standing Committee to: \u201c\u2026 assure through the election process that the elected committee be comprised of more than a single classification\u201d to bring diversity of experience and gifts (Minutes 1955-1964<\/em>, p. 176).<\/p>\n This is a volunteer position.
