Welcome to the Church of the Brethren
We are a body of Christians committed to continuing the work of Jesus peacefully and simply, and to living out our faith in community. See a list of some of our ministries. We have about 99,000 members in nearly 1,000 congregations across the United States and Puerto Rico, with sister churches in Brazil, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominican Republic, Haiti, India, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Sudan, Spain, and Venezuela.
Based in the Anabaptist and Pietist faith traditions, the Church of the Brethren is a Historic Peace Church. We celebrated our 300th anniversary in 2008.
