Youth Speech Contest

Do you have a message to share?
How does the theme scripture speak to your life and context?
What would you want to be heard among your generation and greater denomination?
Write it down, record it, and send it in!


  • The topic of the speech should center on the theme, "Bound Together: Clothed in Christ", and Colossians 3:12-15, with emphasis on verse 14.
  • Only youth attending NYC 2018 are invited to enter.
  • Entries must include a written and an audio or video copy of the speech. Entries should be 500-700 words (about 10 minutes spoken), and emailed to the NYC Office by April 1, 2018.

Song Cover Contest

Ken Medema has re-written the lyrics to his ever-popular song, Bound Together, Finely Woven. To fit the NYC 2018 theme, Bound Together: Clothed in Christ.

We want YOU to put your creative spin on it! Grab your instrument, warm up your vocals, and record! Similar to the youth song contest in the past, the winner will get to perform their cover during a worship service at NYC.

Using the lyrics and music provided here, record yourself or your band singing our exclusive version of "Bound Together" and submit your recording.
