Application process

Thank you for your interest in Brethren Volunteer Service! Please download and print an application. It is six pages: an introduction to the application process, four pages to fill out, and one page of essay questions to be typed out separately.

Applications may be submitted at any point in the year. Keep in mind, the process takes time, we recommend submitting the application three to four months before the orientation you wish to participate in begins. View upcoming orientation dates.

If you are unable to print out a copy of the application please contact the BVS office, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm (central time) at 800-323-8039 or e-mail bvs@brethren.org and we will be happy to mail you the materials.

*German volunteers have the option of applying to BVS directly or through the German EIRENE program 
 
*BVS can only accept applicants from Canada, Japan, Israel, and Western Europe. We are unable to get visas for long term volunteering in the United States from other parts of the world. BVS can only place international volunteers at projects based in the USA.
