Older Adult Ministries
In a culture enchanted with the idea of youth, the Church of the Brethren chooses to live another way by valuing and welcoming the gifts of older adults. To encourage a positive vision of aging within the church, staff raises awareness of and develops resources on issues related to aging, in addition to providing a support network for those working with older adults.

Each May, the Church of the Brethren observes Older Adult Month. Go to the 2010 Older Adult Month webpage to download and print resources for individuals, small groups, and congregations. Contact Kim Ebersole, director of older adult ministry, at (800) 323-8039, ext. 302, or kebersole@brethren.org if you have any questions about the observance.
Preparing for Change: The Challenge of Aging
The denomination's older adult ministry cabinet has created a self-guided, mentored reading program to increase your knowledge of the aging process and how to conduct a ministry by, for, and with older adults.
People with a passion for learning more about aging and older adult ministry are encouraged to participate. Click here for information about this personal and professional enrichment opportunity.
