Following the consultation, a course was offered at the Church of the Brethren General Offices on “Intercultural Competence: Key Skills in a Multicultural World.” The course was taught by Darla Kay Bowman Deardorff, executive director of the Association of Intercultural Education Administrators and an instructor at Duke University, and was sponsored by the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership.
