In a light-hearted moment during the meetings, funding director Ken Neher brought out a large red beach ball and invited the board, staff, and guests to keep it in the air, as he began his report on giving--which has dropped somewhat in the last year from expected levels. Tongue in cheek, Neher presented the ball as “Big Red Ball of Blame.”
