BRAZIL TRAVEL SEMINAR
On a Brazil travel seminar, Bethany seminary and TRIM students engaged the question of what it means to be Anabaptists planting churches in today's diverse world. Led by Jonathan Shively, director of the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership, and, in Brazil, by Marcos Inhauser, Brazil co-director, they traveled from May 17 to June 2. General Board member Vickie Samland was also part of the group. They shared learnings with Brazilian church leaders, participated in language school, experienced Brazilian culture, and worshipped in several Igreja da Irmandade (Church of the Brethren in Brazil) congregations. The travel seminar to Brazil was jointly sponsored by Global Mission Partnerships and the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership of Bethany Theological Seminary. The travel group convened at the Brasilia airport.
