The theme for YAC 2006 is “TRANSFORMED” based on Romans 12:1-8. In The Message, Romans 12:2 reads, “Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out.” In today’s society, it is so easy to “fit into” it without even thinking. Why would we want to be TRANSFORMED? Looking further into vs. 2 gives us an answer. It allows us “to test and approve what God’s will is.” (Rom. 12:2 NIV) That’s not just a kind request. Only when we allow ourselves to be TRANSFORMED are we able to recognize, accept, and respond to what God wants from us. This transformation is one of our challenges as young adults; to think about how we fit into society, to fix our attention on God, and to be TRANSFORMED…”from the inside out!”
