EYN CONSULTATION—President of EYN (Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria—Church of the Brethren in Nigeria), Filibus Gwama, and Merv Keeney, executive director of Global Mission Partnerships, confer at the 2006 consultation held at the EYN Headquarters near Mubi from Jan. 17 to 29. Every two years the partners in Nigeria—EYN, the Church of the Brethren, and Mission21 (a mission organization based in Switzerland)—come together to discuss joint ministry in Nigeria, including concerns, hopes, and plans for the coming years. EYN President Gwama, General Secretary Y.Y. Balami, Vice President Abraham Wuta, and Women's Fellowship director Rose Takwale were present from EYN, with visits from other EYN staff. Jochen Kirsch and Ulrich Bachmann represented Mission21. Bob Krouse, mission coordinator-Nigeria, and Keeney represented the Church of the Brethren. The next consultation, held on rotating basis, will be in the United States in 2008. (Photo courtesy of Merv Keeney)
