Dear steward leaders,

In the church these days, we are continually learning that our most Christ-like relationships are multi-directional. Our global mission partnerships seem to work best when all parties are giving and receiving, just as Jesus taught and Paul described in Romans 12. As one small part of the body of Christ, we seek to follow God’s call to love and live in right relationship. Growing together, we observe and participate, receive and give. Loving together, we are blessed to see God’s transformation in others, while we ourselves are transformed.

This Global Missions offering resource guide is provided free of charge to you and all Church of the Brethren congregations to help engage each congregation in Church of the Brethren global ministries in a worshipful and reflective manner. By joining your gifts with the gifts of others, you make possible, and strengthen, the work we do together.

In this guide, you will find interpretation and sermon help notes, as well as examples of how the Church of the Brethren is in relational mission as serious followers of Jesus. Also provided are easy to find additional resource ideas and links. A wonderful invitation to participate with brothers and sisters around the world is included, from the Global Mission Partnerships ministry team.

Included in this mailing, congregations on standing order will receive their requested copies of a one-piece bulletin insert and offering envelope. Congregations NOT on standing order can refer to the sample copy and can order the needed copies by using the form below. Note that a small poster for the offering will appear on the inside back cover of the September Messenger.

May God lead us as we share our call and vision for a different way of living and sharing the Good News through our radical and relational discipleship. May God open our eyes and hearts as we offer all of our gifts in Jesus’ name.
