The gift continues: Puerto Rican Brethren host celebration of Heifer’s 75th anniversary (October 11, 2019)

The 75th anniversary of Heifer International was celebrated Oct. 5, in Castañer, P.R., hosted by Puerto Rico District of the Church of the Brethren, the Castañer congregation, and Castañer Hospital. Puerto Rico was the destination of the very first shipment of animals made by the Church of the Brethren’s Heifer Project in 1944. Read more »

Michelle Kilbourne hired as BBT director of human resources and administrative services (September 28, 2019)

Michelle Kilbourne has been hired as director of Human Resources and Administrative Services for Brethren Benefit Trust (BBT). She will begin her duties on Oct. 1 at the Church of the Brethren General Offices in Elgin, Ill. Read more »


Brethren Faith in Action Fund allocates grants to eight churches (September 26, 2019)

The Brethren Faith in Action Fund has given eight grants to outreach ministry projects of Church of the Brethren congregations since the first of the year. These grants are given to projects that serve the community, strengthen the congregation, and expand the reign of God. Read more »

Sept. 28 is the deadline to order Advent devotional at ‘early bird’ price (September 26, 2019)

Sept. 28 is the last day to order this year’s Advent devotional from Brethren Press at the “early bird” discount price of $3.50 ($6.95 for large print). After that date prices go up to $4 ($7.95 large print). Early-bird prices also are available for a yearly subscription to both the Advent and Lenten devotionals, for $7 ($13.90 large print).
