“Draw nigh to God and receive these sacred symbols to your comfort.”

With these traditional words, Annual Conference moderator Donita Keister invited all who were present--delegates and nondelegates alike--to receive communion during an afternoon love feast. It was the first time in many decades that the whole Conference has celebrated love feast together.

The two-hour service was the closing event of business and a worshipful conclusion to the compelling vision conversations. It included the four elements of self-examination, feetwashing, a simple meal, and a service of communion. Presiding were moderator Keister, moderator-elect Paul Mundey, and past moderator Samuel Sarpiya.
