The Great Multitude Virlina 2013

a symposium bringing us together - 25-27 October 2013

Continuing the Work of Jesus — Together

This retreat was an opportunity to continue the ongoing conversation about becoming a more inter-cultural church at the denominational level and within our congregations. Speakers with intercultural expertise and experience at the levels of grassroots ministries, church plants, and academic research led discussions. Those who came left the retreat inspired, motivated, informed and encouraged as individuals and congregational leaders to engage with intercultural ministries, experiences, and relation-ships. We shared real joys with one another and listened to the concerns of the surrounding districts and their current intercultural journey.

This was co-sponsored by Virlina District, Intercultural Ministries of Congregational Life Ministries, as a continuation of the Virlina District New Church Development Committee retreat and Intercultural Ministries Consultation and Celebration. It was co-hosted by the Roanoke First Church of the Brethren and Roanoke Renacer.
